On Friday my best friend Chris and I drove to Connecticut. One reason we went down was because a deaf friend of ours JD from Conn was in an induced coma due to having an infection in his heart. lungs and kidneys. It all started with sore foot. He has Diabetes. I encourage people that if you start to feel pain or swelling in your legs or feet to go to the doctor and get checked out. We visited JD on Saturday afternoon. People have told us that because he was in a coma that he would not know that we were there.
We were surprised that JD opened his eyes and seemed to know we were there. He could not talk but the nurse asked me to ask him if he was comfortable. So I did and asked him to either blink his eye or nod his head. He shook his head to say no that he was not comfortable. So the nurse gave him something to help him sleep. It seems like the infection is gone and they are hoping he may wake up today or tomorrow. It seems things are improving for JD.
On Saturday night we decided to attend Ct Cruisers event. Thanks Robert Vitale for inviting me. It was great to see everyone and it was first time I saw fire play. I had a great time and hope to attend again. It was also great to meet LeatherDaddy Tim.
Sorry I was not able to take any pictures of the event. Hugz Terry

BLADeaf 2010 contest
Me and Boy Taz with Ms. Deaf Baltimore Leather 2010,Valerie, Miss Glade 2010, Ms Jasmine and Mr. Deaf Baltimore Leather Abe. Congrats to the winners.
Me and Boy Taz, Boy Alex and Boy B ..
On Thursday February 11, I drove from Maine to pick up Justin, Mr. Boston Leather 2010. We then drove to Connecticut to spend a few hours with my aunt and to wait for rush hour to pass. We left Conn around midnight and drove to Baltimore. I did not see any snow until we got to NYC then of course once we got to Baltimore there was more snow than here in Maine. I really do think Mother Nature is confused this year as we have not had much snow here in Maine this winter.
After Dropping Justin off at the hotel in Baltimore I continued to drive to Washington DC to stay with Sir Y. Of course once I got there I chatted for a bit then took a nap. Later that evening International Deaf leather boy , Boy Taz joined us.
We went out to eat in Baltimore at a great restaurant. I can't remember the exact name of it but it was something Tavern. IT was great food and service. After this we went to the meet and greet at the Baltimore Eagle. Mr. Boston Leather, Myself. Karen,(Mr. Deaf Baltimore leather2009, Larry and John were judges. It was fun to meet and greet people. It was also great to see Sir Any Liu and others as well.
On Saturday we all went to Grand Central( I hope this is the Right name) Where the contest was being held. It was great to see Brandon Riley and Sir Andy Liu again. Sir Andy Liu gave a great presentation. Thanks Sir Andy Iiu.
It was also great to see Boy Alex and Boy B and spend some time with them. It was great to have boy Alex work on my boots and also my sash.. Thanks Boy Alex.
Boy taz had forgot his sash so I called him to the stage and stated "You are in trouble" and the audience had fun punishing or should I say disciplining him. He got whipped and spanked by me. It was fun. On Sunday afternoon I decided to drive home as they were saying there would be a big storm. However, I think the storm never came. It was a long drive but always great to see everyone. The people at the Eagle made us all feel very welcome and were great. Thanks Dan and all your staff and everyone involved with Mr. Texas Leather 2010.
During the weekend Boy Taz and I finally gave Jeffrey Payne and Lamalani IMSL2009 name signs. It was great and we love the name signs we gave them. We also gave a name sign to Jeffrey's husband David. Jeffrey had also presented his husband with a wonderful leather vest. The international First lade of Leather.
Kevin and John who hosted a get together at their home prior to the contest were great hosts. Thanks Kevin and John for welcoming us.
I really want to go to Texas again. Hugz

MR. Texas Leather 2010
I went to Dallas Texas January 28 to February 1st 2010. First let's say Congratulations to Jack Duke who won Mr. Texas Leather 2010. During my flight down to Texas things were going great until... there was a child about maybe 2 years old in front of me who was crying and screaming during take off. She wanted to stand and not be strapped in or sit on her mother's lap. I thought to myself, Thank god I am deaf. Well maybe I thought/spoke too soon as about 5 minutes later the child behind me who was about 3 or 4 years old started kicking my seat.
We had a bit of a bumpy flight as I guess there was a storm while we were in the air and almost ready to land. Once I was greeted by Lowell and Robert who picked me up things were much better. My only frustration was with my hearing aid even with a new battery it did not work for a while. It made it hard for me to read lips without my hearing aid. After a few hours hearing finally worked again. I was able to read lips and communicate much better. Later that night Court, my partner arrived and others arrived. The host and his husband arrived. It was so great to see so many people again.
I will write more about this trip when I get back from Baltimore for BLADeaf (Baltimore leather Association of the Deaf /GLADE.(Gay Lesbian association of deaf of the East) I will be driving to Connecticut today to stay with my aunt and then tomorrow drive to Baltimore. I sure hope the roads and all are fine by then.
