Fundraiser Spring for Vegas

Boy Taz having fun
Friday April 20th Boy Taz and Ed arrived here in Maine for a fundraiser that we did for "Spring for Vegas" The first night he was here we had dinner at home and then went to my home bar Blackstone's for a few drinks and to relax.
On Saturday morning we went to Portland Headlight and also for a walk around Mackworth Island, Baxter School for the Deaf. I made pizza and unfortunately for me it was not as good as it normally is. Boy Taz and Ed made jello shots to sell at the bar that night. After dinner we headed to Blackstone's and met up with people. Blackstone's had it as deaf gay awareness night. Thank you so much to Blackstone's for making this possible. We sold jello shots and fifty fifty raffle tickets. I had a great time during this weekend and it was nice to spend some time with Boy Taz and Ed. Before they left on Sunday we had breakfast at Hot Suppah.

CLAW 2010

Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend 2010 was a great event for me to attend. On Wednesday Night April 21st one of my best friends, Chris and I drove to Connecticut and I dropped him off in Connecticut and spend night with my aunt Carol. I dropped Chris off so he could attend the funeral of our friend James D who had passed away. I also dropped by James parents house to offer my condolences and to spend a little time with them.
After that I drove to Cleveland by myself. What a long ride. I sure wish I had company on that trip. I arrived in Cleveland on Thursday evening and met up with roommate Roberto who I shared a room with. (Thanks Roberto)
The first night I spent relaxing and meeting people that I have met through the year. The drive was so worth it to attend CLAW 2010. I cannot remember which day I did what but here is a summary of what I did.
It was fun to spend some time with Jeffrey and Boy Adam. It was great to see people that I have met through the year and also to meet new people as well. I met up with Tom Smith and Paul t who are deaf and spent time with them.
There were buses that went to the bars for various events and it was nice to not have to drive to the bars. This event was very different from all the other events It was relaxing and there were no contests. I have enjoyed every event that I have attended this year. They were all fun .
I was at Claw from Thursday night until Sunday morning. I did not want to start driving home on Sunday morning as there were still some fun events going on that I had to miss.
I sure hope to be able to attend CLAW again. I can now say I am no longer a CLAW Virgin.
Thanks to everyone at CLAW who made it a great event .

I got into San Francisco on Thursday then met up with Jeffrey Payne (IML2009) we hotel room and then we went to lunch. We walked over to the host hotel (the walk as longer than we thought) and met up with Lamalani. That evening, we went to the IMsL opening show. The show was great with many performers. It was a great start to the IMSL weekend.

Friday, I attended the open interviews . It a great experience for me to see how things were done differently at IMSL. Afterwards there was a VIP reception before the opening ceremonies for the IMsL contest. It was nice to go out to eat with Jeffrey Payne, lamalani, Bonn, Craighton, Boy Adam and a few others. After that some of us went to a couple bars. It was also nice to bump into Lyndon and katie from Maine. It was great to see everyone and I really had a great time.

Saturday, it was fun to spend some time shopping on Folsom for leather with Jeffrey, Bonn, Craighton and Boy Adam. After that it was lunch with Brendan, Rick, Brian, boy travis, Bonn, Creighton Jeffrey and Boy Adam. . After this It was nice to have a little down time .

Saturday evening the contest was held. The contest I included a speech, a question, hotwear and fantasy. All of the contestant s were great. The winner was Mollena Williams (Ms. San Francisco Leather 2009) and for International Ms. Bootblack Jayson DeBoi was the winner as International Ms. Bootblack 2010. Congrats to Molena and Jayson.

After the contest, some of us went to Lamalani’s room and a few drinks and laughs. It was an awesome night. It was fun to spend time with Lamalani and Jeffrey and everyone else that was there.

Sunday we went to the host hotel for the ABW reception. Alex and Dakota were present. Johnny Boy had to leave early so he could not be there. The reception was fun and it was nice to hang out with the ABW family as well as others. It was great to see everyone again. After that we went r to the SF Eagle! It was crowded and fun. After this some of us went to dinner and then went back to the hotel to pack as we all were leaving the next day.

It was a great weekend and I am happy that I attended IMSL 2010. Thanks to everyone who made it a great time. Hugz
